Sisters and Brothers
of the Traveling Cloth
Quilting circles hold many sharings of the heart. What we create as community with a needle, thread, fabric and willingness can create stories felt deep from heart to hand. In this workshop you are invited to share your hands and willingness to stitch together a variety of textile pieces to begin a traveling quilt.
After the workshop, the quilt will be available to work on throughout the festival. Come sit, meet friends, share laughs, share hurts, sit quiet, pray, process, create, watch our circle grow. At the end of the festival, it is my hope that another Sister and or Brother will bring the quilt to a different festival to work on, pass on and grow our cloth. At summers end, we will have an amazing expression of our festival culture. Sisters and Brothers are encouraged to bring any cloth pieces of any kind to stitch on our traveling cloth.
